Overview
GeST is a Framework for Generating Stress-Tests. This framework has been succesfully used to generate power-viruses and stability tests for various ARM and x86 CPUs.
The original version of this tool has been developed by Zacharias Hadjilambrou, Shidhartha Das, Paul Whatmough, David Bull and Yiannakis Sazeides.
The original version of the tool is published in ISPASS 2019 conference (paper)(presentation) and you can find the framework release here (github-link).
GeST has been extended with the functionalities of SAGA. SAGA is a Surrogate Assisted Genetic Algorithm for Fast CPU Power Virus Generation. The new version of the framework has been succesfully used to generate power-viruses for various CPUs in half the time.
The extension of the tool has been developed by Panteleimonas Chatzimiltis, Georgia Antoniou, Haris Volos and Yiannakis Sazeides.
